This course is being hosted by Police Chief Ronnie Ashmore of the Hico Police Department.  This class will be held at Hico High School, 901 Cedar Street, Hico, TX 76457 (Meet in the Cafeteria) starting at 9 AM (please arrive 30 minutes early).  This 6 hour classroom course will culminate with an outdoor Skills Trail Exercise.  The fee for the certification is $15.  Advanced registration is required by Booking a Ticket on this website and you must also visit Texas Parks and Wildlife’s Registration System at: https://tpwd.elementlms.com/course/hunter-education-classroom-course-548/ to Register for your required electronic Hunter Education card.  Cards are not mailed out anymore.  See you Saturday, October 21st!

Description

This course is designed for novice or young hunters, ages 9 years and above. The course covers the core competencies of firearm and hunting safety, hunting ethics and wildlife conservation. All materials are provided. The Hunter Education Classroom Course lasts a maximum of 6 hours of classroom instruction. This time does not include registration, breaks, test administration and certification card distribution. Courses are offered across the state year round and are taught by certified volunteer instructors.
